Another important milestone in our journey to bring first aid services closer to the Kutulu community.
While we have been dedicating time to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, progress has continued in Kutulu. Today, we are excited to share another important milestone in the development of the Kutulu First Aid Centre: the roofing is now complete!
You may remember our earlier update about the purchase of roofing materials. We are pleased to share that the work has now been completed, bringing us another step closer to turning our vision into reality.
Building Together, One Step at a Time
This progress has been made possible through the support of our funding partners. The initial funding from Internationale Solidariteit Stad Antwerpen helped us get construction underway, while additional funding from 11.11.11 enabled us to begin the roofing phase.
We are deeply grateful for this support, which continues to bring us closer to establishing a first aid centre that will serve an important need within the Kutulu community.
What Comes Next?
With the roof now in place, our next priority is to complete the building through plastering, the installation of windows and doors, and painting.
Once these works are completed, we will move into the next phase of preparing the centre for operation. This will include:
- Equipping the centre with essential first aid materials.
- Installing solar power to support its operations.
- Training volunteers who will help make the centre functional.
- Obtaining the necessary government permits to begin operations.
After these preparations are completed, we will turn our attention to planning the official launch of the Kutulu First Aid Centre.
