What was once only a conversation under trees and in village meetings has now become something the people of Kutulu can finally see with their own eyes.
Two years ago, many people saw this dream as impossible.
A First Aid Center in Kutulu sounded like a distant story, something people could only hope for, but never truly touch. Today, that story is becoming reality.
The people of Kutulu are deeply grateful to Internationale Solidariteit Stad Antwerpen, every partner, donor, volunteer for turning Hope into Action, for standing with them when hope was fading.
For years, families in this community lived with fear. Fear that a simple injury could become a tragedy. Fear that a child bitten by a snake might not survive the long journey for treatment. Fear that mothers in emergencies would have nowhere to run for help. Many had already accepted suffering as part of life because help felt too far away.
But you chose not to look away.
Through your compassion and support, you have brought something powerful back to this community: hope.
Today, children smile around the construction site. Mothers speak with relief about the future. Fathers and village elders talk about the First Aid Center with pride. Neighboring communities are watching with gratitude because they know this center will not only serve Kutulu, but save lives across surrounding villages as well.
This project is no longer an idea.
It is no longer a promise.
It is happening.
Every wall rising from the ground tells the people of Kutulu that they have not been forgotten. Every step forward reminds them that there are people across the world who believe their lives matter.
The village elders, leaders, kings, mothers, fathers, and children all say the same thing: thank you.
