STREET TO CLASSROOM PROJECT-LAGOS UPDATE!

This time, it wasn’t only about distributing writing materials. We shared love, we shared happiness, and we celebrated the power of community. Children received not just tools for learning, but also moments of pure joy, dancing, playing games, and creating memories that will last.

The smiles on their faces and the spirit of togetherness in the community were priceless. It was a beautiful reminder that education is not only about books, but also about building hope, unity, and joy.

STREET TO CLASSROOM PROJECT-PORT HARCOURT OUTREACH

Our Street to Classroom project, which provides educational materials to children from families with little or no income, was successfully carried out last weekend in Port Harcourt.

Led by our Rivers State coordinator and her dedicated team, we visited a rural community to distribute learning materials to children. The joy on their faces was unforgettable, each child received the support with open hearts and bright smiles.

This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors and the support of our partners at Toniabliss Cares Charity Foundation. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to helping us create brighter futures for children.

This is just one step on our journey. We remain committed to reaching children across as many states as possible, giving every child the opportunity to move from the street into the classroom.

BUILDING OF A FIRST AID CENTER IN KUTULU, BAUCHI STATE IN NIGERIA.

Kutulu, a rural community in Bauchi State, faces severe healthcare challenges due to the absence of immediate medical assistance. The nearest clinic is far, causing many injuries and illnesses, such as childbirth complications, traffic accidents, and malaria, to go untreated. In 2024, a survey by the Behind Marygift Walls Foundation (BMWF) confirmed the urgent need for a First Aid Center to provide life-saving emergency care and health education.

Goal: Reduce preventable deaths and improve health outcomes in Kutulu.

Objectives:

1.Provide immediate first aid to prevent complications.

2.Train community members in basic emergency response.

3.Improve healthcare access for mothers and children.

4.Strengthen local healthcare infrastructure.

Solutions:

Deliver timely care for minor injuries and illnesses.

Educate residents on hygiene, first aid, and maternal care.

Serve as a hub for community health programs such as immunizations and malaria prevention.

Expected Results:

Faster access to emergency care, lowering fatalities.

Increased health awareness and self-care practices.

Reduced healthcare costs for low-income families.

Stronger links with local hospitals for patient referrals.

This project will directly benefit 300–400 people annually in Kutulu and neighboring communities. With your support, we can bring hope, save lives, and build a healthier, more resilient population. Every contribution brings us closer to a community where no one dies from a treatable condition.

Back to School, Back to Hope :Join Us in Changing a Child’s Future

It’s that time of year again, children are on holiday, and soon, they’ll be heading back to school. At BMWF, we don’t just talk about education, we act on it. Year after year, we’ve supported girls in getting back to school through our educational project: “FROM STREET TO CLASSROOM”. But this September, we’re going further. We’re extending our support to both boys and girls in underserved rural communities across Africa.

This year, our Back-to-School Campaign focuses on:

Providing school bags and writing materials

Buying uniforms where needed

Paying school fees for children whose families simply can’t afford it

We’re especially targeting widows, widowers, single parents, and low-income households who are struggling in today’s harsh economic situation. This is our way of easing their burden and giving children a real chance to stay in school.

We’re inviting you to be part of this.

Do you want to be a partner or sponsor

Would you like your name or company logo featured on school bags, exercise books, or uniforms?

BMWF Africa Continues Its Commitment to Food Outreach in Lagos

Food outreach remains a key priority for BMWF in Africa, as we have been dedicated to feeding the less privileged and supporting street communities for over four years. Our mission is not just to provide meals but to offer nourishment, dignity, and hope to those in need.

This past weekend, the Lagos branch once again took to the streets, serving fresh, well-prepared, and nutritious meals to the community. In addition to wholesome food, beneficiaries enjoyed Zobo, a traditional African drink known for its health benefits, along with a delicious, nutritious dessert, ensuring a complete and satisfying meal experience.

At BMWF, we believe that no one should go hungry, and our commitment extends beyond food, we strive to create connections, restore dignity, and uplift communities through compassion and action. We stand for the people, we serve the streets, and we empower the less privileged one meal at a time.

BMWF Bauchi State Skill Acquisition

BMWF Nigeria’s Bauchi Branch Engages Kutulu Community in Hygiene and Sustainability Education.

Last weekend, the Bauchi branch of BMWF Nigeria visited the Kutulu community in preparation for upcoming projects aimed at improving local well-being and sustainability. Recognizing the importance of early engagement, the team initiated educational workshops on hygiene, environmental protection, and sustainable practices, empowering residents with knowledge essential for long-term development.

The sessions covered key topics on healthy living, waste management, and personal empowerment, fostering a proactive approach to community welfare. The reception was overwhelmingly positive, with community members expressing deep appreciation and enthusiasm. The warmth and joy in their responses underscored the significance of such initiatives.

Through this outreach, BMWF Bauchi is strengthening its relationship with the Kutulu community, laying the foundation for impactful, sustainable interventions that will enhance health, environmental consciousness, and community resilience.
